T.H.A.N.X. (Think Healthy About Nutrition and eXercise) is a unique after-school health and wellness program designed to help your child learn about their general health, wellness and nutrition while playing games and being physically active. T.H.A.N.X. offers Sequoia Elementary, the STRIVE program and Sequoia School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing free nutritional and physical activities for 3rd- 6th grade students, after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm, transportation not included. These adult supervised activities include fun indoor and outdoor sports and relays, “Jeopardy” class health and wellness games, gardening, kid-friendly cooking classes, etc. These activities are designed to increase physical activity, nutritional awareness and also improve student leadership. self-esteem, teamwork, sportsmanship, responsibility, and overall character development.
